I want to install a clothes line but need to put something rather than concrete to put the poles in, for I might in the future need to move it or take it up. What should I put as a substitute for concrete?

Best answer: I've lived in a place like that except it didn't have the luxury of a ceiilng fan or light. Yes, it is a hazard and it sucks that it leaks and isn't being fixed. I tied strings to screws I put in the ceiling which led the water into buckets and trashcans so that it wouldn't make dripping noises. show more

How to clean a headstone without killing the plants growing around it?

Will a light bulb explod and shatter if I put petrol in it?

Best answer: There isn't any oxygen in a light bulb.....so nothing should happen, but there probably will be oxygen in the bulb if you somehow put petrol inside it. If the petrol has ready O2, yes it will ignite and the bulb will probably shatter. Not explode possibly, but it isn't ideal to do indoors, the fuel will... show more

We are buying a house. Most of the house is heated by natural gas but the front office ( it used to be a used car lot) is heated by an electric register on the floor. My neighbors have a chain link fence on the side we share. It is an old fence and they said the other side of it fell down year’s ago. For expensive stuff ($100+), I'd take those over a check, but I feel like it's a massive time suck to have to go to my phone and make sure it all went through vs working cash out of a pouch. If I need to go digital - are those the two I should be prepared to use or are there other better ones?

I am getting an electrician to install them, but he is not here until next week, so I wonder if I got the wrong ones. I have 2 kitchen outlets near my sink and was told by the inspector when I bought my house to replace them with GFCI outlets. So I bought some. Best answer: I never do one big clean - that way madness lies. There are certain that get dine every day like the dishes and cleaning all the kitchen surfaces.
